Electrical fast transients (EFT) or burst testing is a critical step in replicating the real-world scenarios electrical equipment may encounter. It simulates the natural phenomenon that arises when a switch opens or closes a circuit. The repetitive fast transient test involves subjecting a device to a series of fast transients, precisely coupled into power and control/signal ports, mirroring the high amplitude, short rise times, high repetition frequency, and low energy levels typical of field transients.
